PECO New Business Electric Service and Meter Application Audio Transcript

So you're ready to start a new application with pico great. To make it happen. You'll need to fill out Pico's service and meter application or an SNM form.

Before we go over the application an important thing to know is in order to avoid delays with processing your application. You must complete the form in its entirety simply put don't skip sections.

Please note if your request is to make your work site safe click on the make Safe Link at the top of the S&M application. This is a different form.

Okay, let's get started beginning at the top left of the S&M application. You'll see a section requesting some basic information. Most of this will be self-explanatory notably your tax ID or social security number and contact information are extremely important. If you miss any of these sections, you will likely experience processing delays.

Next you will fill out a section describing your current construction status. Remember the date you enter is not the date. Pico will start or complete work. It is the date you expect to start your project.

The timeline for your request depends on a number of factors. It is always best to submit your application well in advance Moving down the document head to the request type section.

The purpose of this field is to identify the type of service you require. Additionally this will let us know if your project falls under new business or new residential construction.

Next move down to the service type section this section describes the type of service you are requesting. As always it's important that this section is filled out in its entirety as we cannot process the application without it while it's okay to list multiple residential meter requests on a single application each commercial meter request requires an individual application.

Moving to the service characteristics field this section helps Pico properly size your service. Stick with us. You're almost there. In the meter info field you will let Pico know how many meters are required.

In the heating and air conditioning section inform us of the type of equipment. You are installing. And in the characteristics of new or additional load section document the kilowatts of connected load and note any large motor specifications.

Carefully read the required documents list for any additional information that may be needed to process your application. Finally. Don't forget to sign and date your form. Tada you did it when you're ready to submit send your documents using the appropriate email link at the top of the form.
